Gentle Party's first full length release pioneers a unique, expansive approach to chamber pop that speaks to the quartet's West Coast roots. The album features the hauntingly evocative voice of Jessicka layered on beds of luscious strings. The ensemble of multiple award-winning musicians, Meredith Bates, Shanto Acharia, and Elisa Thorn, on violin, cello, and harp, respectively, provides a strong and beautiful melodic, rhythmic, and textural foundation. Moondle is an alternative dark pop quintet based in Vancouver, BC. As our name suggests, we are stirred on by the magical worlds of Jorge Luis Borges; worlds of made up languages, where moons "moondle over the onstreaming", infinite libraries, labyrinths, and mirrors that reflect distorted and unrecognizable things. We hope to invoke sonic and lyrical landscapes that are as imaginative and lush as Borges' words. We invite you to come visit us in these places.
